When activated, the VA-2000 will sound a piercing alert tone, flash a high intensity LED and display one of up to 60 pre-programmed messages on its easy to read display. A message will remain on the VA-2000 until reset.
Whelen's VA-2000 provides instant information that defines the emergency condition and prompts the correct response, eliminating confusion and saving lives.
The VA-2000 is also useful for providing emergency notification in ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) applications.

Two line by 16 character backlighted message display.
Messages may be up to 96 characters in length. The VA-2000 display advances through messages longer than 32 characters at the rate of 3 seconds per "page."
Total message capacity: 1500 characters.
Continuously monitors local public warning system radio frequency and reacts the instant an alert is transmitted.
Responds to activation commands from Whelen's Series of DTMF base station controls or standard DTMF formats by others.
May be activated individually, in groups or by system "all call" in the same manner used for Whelen High-Power Voice and Siren Systems.
Messages and activation codes are user programmable via personal computer and many commercially available modem communication programs using the "chat" mode.
Audio options adds capability to receive live announcements via local public warning system radio frequency (when VA-2000 is activated). Option includes speaker, 600 ohm balanced audio output and relay contract.
Battery backup option provides 24 hours of standby capability in the event of AC power failure.
